The Story

A 30-Day Internal Challenge

We set ourselves a constraint. Build and ship a production app in 30 days. No shortcuts. No prototype excuses.

Why We Did This to Ourselves

Every client we pitch asks some version of "how fast can you move?" The answer is only credible if it's backed by proof. So we picked a real problem — workshop owners in India manage everything on paper and WhatsApp — and gave ourselves 30 days to build, test, and ship.

Three things made it possible: React Native (iOS and Android from one codebase), scope discipline (we shipped exactly 9 features and nothing else), and fast daily decision-making. The result is a production app with a 4.4-star rating used by real workshop owners.

If we can do this for ourselves in 30 days, your 8–12 week MVP is very achievable.

Why This Matters

Speed Is a Practice, Not an Accident

The 30-day build taught us lessons that apply to every client project.

Speed Through Discipline

We didn't ship fast by cutting corners. We shipped fast by defining a tight scope, making fast decisions daily, and eliminating anything that wasn't essential. Speed is a process discipline — not a talent.

Real Users From Day 1

We built something free because we wanted real adoption pressure, not client approval pressure. If workshop owners don't download it, we failed. Real users reveal what matters. Stakeholder reviews reveal what people say matters.

Time-Boxing Works

30 days means 9 features, not 30. The constraint is the feature filter. Every startup with a 12-month roadmap could ship a 10× better product by cutting to the 10% that matters. We proved it on ourselves.

Questions About This Build

Common questions about the 30-day build and what it means for your product.

MyShopWork is a free workshop management app for mechanics, auto-service shops, and trade professionals. It's built and operated by Kwiqwork — our own product, not a client project. We built it in 30 days to prove our speed-of-delivery capability and to build a real user base in the workshop professional community.
